Noida, 25 April (). Suspecting that he had an illicit relationship with his wife, a Nepalese youth first made his cousin drink alcohol and beat him to death with a stick when he was intoxicated. An hour after the body was found, the police arrested the accused and also recovered the stick used in the murder. The youth had come to Noida from Nepal to his brother a month ago for a job.
DCP Noida Zone Harish Chander told that Krishna Dhami, originally a resident of Nepal, was working as a servant in a kothi in Sector-27 and was living in the servant quarter with his wife. A month ago, his cousin Dharma Dhami also came to him from Nepal. He started driving a rickshaw here. Police found Dharma Dhami’s body lying on the bank of a drain near Sector-14A on Monday morning.
The police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem and when Krishna was questioned about it, he started giving evasive answers to many questions. On which the police suspected him and when the police questioned him strictly, he broke down and told that Dharma used to talk to his wife alone often. He suspected that there was an illegal relationship between his wife and Dharma, due to which he planned to get her out of the way.
As part of the plan, on Sunday evening, he took Dharma to Sector-14A drain on the pretext of giving him liquor, where both of them drank heavily. When he questioned about his wife after drinking alcohol, there was a dispute. When the dispute escalated, he beat Dharma to death with a stick. The police also recovered the baton used in the murder at the instance of Krishna.
