De De Pyaar De 2, directed by Anshul Sharma, had a decent opening and experienced the expected dip on its fourth day. The film earned ₹8.75 crore on its opening day. On Saturday (Day 2), it saw a significant jump with a collection of ₹12.25 crore, marking a growth of about 40 percent. Sunday (Day 3) also showed an increase of approximately 12.24 percent, resulting in a collection of ₹13.75 crore for Day 4, according to Sacnilk reports. However, Monday (Day 4) brought the usual weekday decline, with the film estimated to have earned ₹4.25 crore that day, leading to a total domestic gross of ₹39 crore.
The decline was not overly severe, and the film will need to maintain its performance throughout the week. Internationally, the film concluded its opening weekend strongly, accumulating ₹54.25 crore at the box office. The figures indicate that it has attracted decent interest from foreign markets as well. If domestic collections stabilize over the next few days, significant increases in overall international earnings for Ajay Devgn’s film are anticipated. The release of De De Pyaar De 2 has notably affected smaller films, such as Thamma, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, and The Taj Story, which have seen rapid declines.
The movie featuring R Madhavan and Rakul Preet has already secured the position of the fourth-highest grosser among recent releases, while Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar holds the top spot, followed by Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Bad Newz in second and third places, respectively. Param Sundari currently ranks fifth.
