Sources indicate that Deepika requested a 25 percent increase in her salary compared to what she was paid for the first film, a demand the producers deemed unjustifiable given the film’s significant budget and high visual effects costs.
Another issue arose from her insistence on a strict seven-hour workday, which the filmmakers felt was incompatible with the extensive production demands of a VFX-heavy project, fearing it would lead to delays and increased costs. Additionally, logistical concerns emerged as Deepika reportedly intended to travel with an entourage of 25 people, with her team asking for five-star accommodations and meal reimbursements for all members during the shoot. The producers attempted to accommodate her requests by offering upgraded vanity vans, flexible work hours, and premium arrangements, but it seems her team refused to compromise. This situation is reminiscent of challenges she faced in her previous project, Spirit, where she also pushed for an eight-hour workday, prompting producers to reconsider her participation.
