Lucknow, May 21 (). Nearly a month and a half after the murder of a nurse in Rahimabad, on the outskirts of Lucknow, the police have arrested two of the three accused. This includes a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) doctor, a ward boy and a pharmacist. All three had physical relations with the woman and were angered by her infidelity.
They called the woman to a place near the railway track and strangulated her. Police said that in order to destroy the evidence, the trio put the Kathgodam Express on the railway track immediately after it passed. During interrogation, the killers confessed their crime.
The accused have been identified as Dr. Ankit of a hospital in Dubagga and Amit Awasthi of Rahimabad. The third accused Dinesh Maurya is absconding.
Rahul Raj, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), West Zone, said, “The call details of Dr Ankit and Awasthi show that they called the deceased on the day of the murder.”
