New Delhi, April 20 (). The ED has carried out searches at eight locations including the premises of Pioneer Homes Pvt Ltd, its CMD Alok Kumar Singh and others in a case of cheating prospective homebuyers. ED gave this information on Thursday.
According to media reports, the ED team conducted searches in Patna, Varanasi, Lucknow and Delhi. The ED had initiated the probe against Pioneer Homes Pvt Ltd, its CMD Alok Kumar and others on the basis of eight FIRs lodged against Kumar and his relatives at various police stations in Patna.
ED said, ED had received more than 73 complaints against Pioneer Homes Pvt Ltd, its CMD Alok Kumar Singh and others. In which it was mentioned that the company had cheated potential homebuyers to the tune of Rs 9.73 crore.
Investigation revealed that the leading group of companies and its directors cheated potential homebuyers and diverted their deposits to illegally acquire properties in their own names or in the names of other companies.
During the search, incriminating documents such as sale deed of properties purchased by Alok Kumar in the name of him and his company were found, which were seized.
A total of 119 bank accounts, four insurance policies and two luxury vehicles in the name of Pioneer Homes Pvt Ltd and its directors have also been attached.
Other incriminating physical and digital material found during the search has also been seized for further investigation.
