Jaipur: Diya Kumari, the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tourism and Arts & Culture, announced that the Ghoomar Festival – 2025, celebrating Rajasthan’s traditional dance, will be held for the first time at all seven divisional headquarters of the state: Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur on November 19. The state-level festivities will occur at the Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium’s football ground in Jaipur. During a meeting with public representatives and stakeholders at the Rajasthan Tourism Bhawan, Diya Kumari expressed that the Ghoomar dance embodies Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and feminine grace.
“Ghoomar is not just a dance; it is the cultural identity of Rajasthan,” she stated, emphasizing that the festival aims to promote the state’s traditional art and culture globally. Diya Kumari encouraged school and college students, homemakers, professional dancers, and working women to participate and showcase their cultural pride. She also invited spectators to attend in large numbers, dressed in traditional Rajasthani clothing to enhance the event’s vibrancy and color.
