Girl lost her leg due to wrong treatment in UP, case filed

UP: Three booked for desecrating idols of deities

Lucknow, May 16 (). In Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich, a 10-year-old girl lost her right leg due to wrong treatment by a quack doctor. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak took the matter seriously. He has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The District Magistrate and CMO will investigate the incident and send the report to the Deputy Chief Minister. Instructions have been given to take strict action against quacks. A case has been registered against the accused doctor.

Rimmi Gupta, 10-year-old daughter of Arvind Gupta, resident of Daulatpur village of Motipur, Bahraich, was injured in a road accident. He had a serious injury to his right leg. The parents took Rimmi to the clinic operated at Rampur Square in Khairighat. Here the quack doctor told fracture in the leg. Plastering was advised. The parents asked for plastering. The quackery doctor applied plaster. Gave some medicines to eat. After the plaster, Rimmi’s leg started rotting. The infection continued to increase. After this the parents came to the orthopedics department of KGMU with their daughter. Here the doctors got many necessary tests done. Investigations confirmed severe infection. To save the girl’s life, the doctors advised to amputate Rimmi’s infected leg. Father Arvind gave permission for the operation.

Arvind complained about the quack doctor to the Deputy CM, District Magistrate and CMO. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak took the matter seriously. Deputy CM said that the District Magistrate and CMO should immediately investigate the matter. Strict action should be taken against the guilty. Any laxity in this will not be tolerated.

The Deputy CM has taken cognizance of the delay in the post-mortem on the death of a patient under suspicious circumstances in the District Hospital of Ballia. The Deputy Chief Minister has asked the Azamgarh Divisional Director to investigate the matter and submit the complete report within a week. He said that there would be no apology for negligence in the health department, strict action would be taken against the culprits.

Similarly, a case of late arrival of ambulances has come to the fore in Agra. Considering it as negligence, the Deputy CM has ordered an inquiry. Ambulance should be provided to all the needy on time. Where did it go wrong? Due to which reasons the ambulance got delayed to the patient? The entire matter will be investigated.
