Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (HCCB), a prominent FMCG company in India, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Employment and Training (DET) of the Telangana government to offer practical technical training and industry exposure to students enrolled in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) programs throughout the state. The MoU was signed by S.V.K. Nagesh, Joint Director of DET, Telangana, and Mr. B. Tirupathi Rao, Cluster HR Head of HCCB, at the DET headquarters in Hyderabad. It aims to close the skills gap between theoretical learning and practical application by providing short-term internships at HCCB’s facilities and offices in Telangana.
This program will emphasize real-world operations, process efficiency, and best practices in safety, quality, and sustainability within a large-scale manufacturing context. S.V.K. Nagesh remarked that this partnership with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, known for its high operational and training standards, will significantly improve the employability of ITI students by exposing them to contemporary industrial systems, processes, and workplace culture. Such collaborations are vital for creating a skilled workforce that meets the changing demands of India’s manufacturing sector. Nikhil Arora, Vice President of HR at HCCB, also highlighted that skill development is essential for empowering youth and fostering inclusive growth.
He stated that the collaboration aims to offer ITI students practical learning experiences that enhance their academic education and motivate them to pursue fulfilling careers in manufacturing and related fields. The MoU will be active for two years, promoting ongoing cooperation between DET and HCCB to enhance industry-academia relations. This initiative underscores HCCB’s dedication to skill development, youth empowerment, and sustainable industrial advancement across India.
