Mumbai, April 5 (). The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) will host 45 youths from Punjab under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam programme, an official said on Wednesday.
The youth are likely to arrive here in the second week of May for this initiative, which aims to strengthen people-to-people connect and create empathy among the youth across India.
According to officials, the Yuva Sangam envisages participation of 1,000 youth from 23 states and union territories. In return, 35 youths from Maharashtra and 10 youths from Union Territories of Dadra, Nagar Haveli and Daman, Diu will travel to NIT, Jalandhar in Punjab.
The exposure tour aims to provide a multifaceted experience to all participants under five broad areas: tourism, tradition, progress, technology, and interaction. The last date to register for the upcoming Yuva Sangam program is April 9.
