New Delhi, May 19 (). State-of-the-art infrastructure facilities will soon be available in the best higher educational institutions of the country. These educational institutions also include the most renowned institutions of the country like IITs and IIMs. According to the Union Ministry of Education, the new projects of these higher education institutions include various new academic blocks, laboratories, hostels and facilities for vocational activities for students of various IITs, IIITs, IIMs, IISERs and Central Universities.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday reviewed the progress of similar infrastructure projects underway in 43 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including IITs, IIMs, IIITs, IISERs and Central Universities. A special meeting was held to review these higher educational institutions. The meeting was presided over by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Similarly, projects of institutions like Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas running under school education across the country were also reviewed. In this meeting, Higher Education Secretary K. Sanjay Murthy, heads of higher education institutions, senior officials from CPWD, NBCC and Ministry of Education also participated.
During the meeting, Pradhan directed the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to expedite infrastructure projects and complete them within this year. He said that the modern infrastructure would soon be dedicated to the nation which would give impetus to our efforts to become global citizens of the 21st century.
