IT professional installs hidden cameras in rented flat of girls, held

Jaipur, May 1 (). Rajendra Soni, who used to keep an eye on the girls from his house, has been arrested by the police for installing hidden cameras in his rented flat to three girls. He was produced in the court on Monday.

The accused is the owner of the flat. Police officials said that the victims came to know about the hidden cameras in their flat after a short circuit.

When the electrician came, he found several cameras installed in the bedroom and bathroom. Police arrested Rajendra on 27 April. He was produced in the court on Monday, from where he has been sent to judicial custody till May 15.

On interrogation, the accused told that he deals in CCTV cameras and computers. He gave flats on rent to girl students who came to study in Udaipur from other cities. When the girl students went to their homes on vacation, he opened the flat with a duplicate key and installed three cameras.

A router was installed in the name of providing free Wi-Fi to the girl students. The accused told during interrogation that he had installed CCTV cameras only to watch videos of girls for hobby. Police have recovered spy cameras, internet router and duplicate keys of the flat from the accused.

According to the police, the accused is an IT expert. He has a degree in Master of Computer Application. He had a technical understanding of spy cameras. The girls had taken the flat on rent 8 months ago.
