Bengaluru, May 12 (). The counting of votes cast on May 10 for the 224 seats in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly will be held on Saturday. Exit polls do not show any party getting a clear majority. Sources said that the Congress has already announced the S.I. of Kundgol constituency in Dharwad district. Chikkanagoudar has been contacted. There is a direct contest between Chikkanagoudar and BJP candidate M.R. Patil’s middle.
In view of the reports of Chikkanagoudar’s possible victory, the Congress has already invited him to join hands with the party. Sources say that Chikkanagoudar is a follower of former chief minister Jagadish Shettar through whom the party is contacting him.
