Bengaluru, April 7 (). Kannada film superstar Yash has refused to campaign for any political party ahead of the May 10 elections in Karnataka. Sources close to him gave this information.
Yash is very popular in the state and BJP, Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) are constantly approaching him to make him the star campaigner of their party. Sources said that Yash is focusing on his films. He has refused all political offers.
In the last assembly elections, Yash had campaigned for some candidates. In the Lok Sabha elections, along with another Kannada superstar Darshan, he campaigned from beginning to end in Mandya to ensure the victory of independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, who replaced former Prime Minister H.D. She stood against Deve Gowda’s grandson.
Sources said that Yash is busy with a film these days and an announcement in this regard could be made by the end of this month. Renowned Telugu producer Dil Raju had said that he is making a film with Yash.
Similarly, Rishabh Shetty, who has proved his mettle in Kantara, has also said that he will not campaign for any political party.
