Rudraprayag, May 13 (). It has been 19 days for the journey of Kedarnath Dham. And more than 2 lakh 65 thousand pilgrims have visited Baba Kedar during the yatra. Devotees reaching Kedarnath Dham to visit Baba Kedar are facing many other problems including inflation. The rates of hotels in Dham are so high that their budget is deteriorating, while on the other hand the passengers say that they are being charged double the rate of horses and mules on the journey route.
Pilgrims are very upset due to rising inflation in Kedarnath Dham. Passengers say that they are getting horses and mules at double the price, while the prices of palanquins are also skyrocketing. The hotel rates in Kedarnath are so high that the budget of the pilgrims is deteriorating. Along with this, there is no arrangement for cleaning on the pedestrian route.
Pilgrims say that the fixed fare for horse and mule is Rs 2500, but the operators are demanding Rs 5 to 6 thousand from them, while horse and mules are not being treated well on foot. He told that people are slipping on the way due to the lead of horses and mules. In such a situation, no officer or employee is ready to listen to us.
DM Mayur Dixit said that horses and mules will be talked to in front. Along with this, talks will also be held with hoteliers and traders.
The journey of Sonprayag-Gaurikund of Kedarnath Yatra stop is also becoming heavy for the pilgrims. Pilgrims have to get stuck in jam for hours in the journey of five km. At the same time, the condition of the devotees is also deteriorating due to potholes at various places. The journey of Dham is going on only on the faith of Lord Kedarnath. Police personnel are not visible anywhere in the two kilometer walk from Gaurikund to Ghoda Padav. In such a situation, the pilgrims are moving forward by pushing and shoving.
On April 25, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened for common devotees. Since then thousands of devotees are reaching Baba Kedar’s court every day. The figure of travel has crossed 2 lakh 65 thousand in 19 days.
