New Delhi, April 5 (). The Kejriwal government has called a meeting of the concerned departments at the Delhi Secretariat on April 11 regarding the summer action plan. According to the government, the immediate and long-term plan under the Summer Action Plan will be implemented soon.
Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has called a meeting to prepare a summer action plan on the lines of the winter action plan. All related departments including Environment, DPCC, DDA, MCD, Fire Service, Dusib, Revenue will be present in this meeting. Under the Summer Action Plan, immediate and long-term planning will be made and implemented.
Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that pollution inside Delhi is present all the time as a major challenge. Kejriwal’s leadership has consistently worked to bring down Delhi’s pollution levels, resulting in a steady decline in the presence of PM 10 and PM 2.5 in Delhi during the winter season.
He said that according to the Economic Survey 2022-23, between 2016 and 2021, the number of days in Delhi’s AQI in good, satisfactory and moderate category has increased from 109 to 160 and the number of days in poor and very poor category has decreased from 217. 196 has happened. Along with this, the number of the most dangerous category has also decreased between 2016 and 2022, which was 26 in 2016, now it has come down to only 6 in 2022.
He further said that the Kejriwal government has made extensive efforts to save the breath of Delhiites from air pollution and similarly, a new outline of the Summer Action Plan will be prepared on the lines of the Winter Action Plan, so that pollution in the summer season can be avoided. The people of Delhi can also be saved. Under this action plan, an immediate and long-term action plan will be prepared and implemented to control Delhi’s pollution.
The Environment Minister claimed that the government is continuously working against increasing pollution in Delhi. In such a situation, this action plan will play an important role in environmental improvement and pollution control of Delhi.
