Mumbai, May 24 (). Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday afternoon. Officials gave this information here.
Kejriwal will be accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Mumbai AAP leaders in the meeting with Thackeray. Both are scheduled to meet Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and his team on Thursday.
Both the leaders are in Mumbai to garner support from prominent state leaders for AAP’s fight against the Centre’s ordinance to regulate services in the national capital.
This will be the second meeting between Kejriwal and Thackeray, both engaged in a political battle for survival on their respective lands.
Soon after the Election Commission of India (ECI) decided to allot the original Shiv Sena name and bow and arrow symbol to the faction led by CM Eknath Shinde, Kejriwal-Mann were here on February 24, met Thackeray and completed their Support and discuss efforts for opposition unity.
Kejriwal met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Wednesday, who along with some other parties have agreed to support AAP’s stand on the ordinance, though the Congress’s stand is not yet clear.
