Kerala CPI(M) begins probe into CITU leader's spouse buying Rs 50L MINI Cooper

Kochi, May 30 (). The CPI(M) has launched a probe after a video of a new Mini Cooper worth Rs 50 lakh bought by the wife of a top CITU leader went viral. The Center of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) is the trade union wing of the CPI(M). Pk the vehicle Bought by Anil Kumar’s wife, Anil is the general secretary of the Petroleum and Gas Employees Union.

The party raised eyebrows when a video surfaced showing Kumar’s family taking possession of the gleaming brand new Mini Cooper from the showroom.

Kumar said that his wife has bought a new car by taking a loan from the bank. She works in Indian Oil Corporation.

Kumar recently hit headlines when he was seen verbally assaulting a woman owner of a gas agency over an employee issue because of his position as general secretary of the Petroleum and Gas Workers Union.

Incidentally sometime back, CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s use of a similar car at a party event had come under fire for how the leader of the poor man’s party indulges in luxury.

Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the investigation of CPM.
