The renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas energized Mumbai’s Shanmukhananda Auditorium with a sold-out Kavi Sammelan that drew an enthusiastic crowd, with tickets gone two weeks prior to the event. Accompanied by fellow poets Sudeep Bhola, Sakshi Tiwari, Vinod Pandey, and Kushal Kushendra, the event was an enriching blend of humor, heartfelt narratives, and cultural pride. The diverse audience, ranging from youth to elders, reacted with laughter, applause, and moments of contemplation, culminating in a standing ovation from nearly 3,000 attendees. A standout moment was Dr. Vishwas’s poignant recitation of verses that celebrated devotion and the timeless values of Indian culture, including tributes to Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. With a profound grasp of Indian traditions, Dr.
Vishwas is also crafting lyrics for an upcoming film adaptation of the Ramayana, collaborating with global music legends A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The performance artfully integrated spirituality with modern significance, leaving the audience moved by its emotional resonance and enduring themes. Dr. Kumar Vishwas commented, “It felt like one of my most special shows. There was a great enthusiastic audience, from youngsters to senior citizens enjoying an evening of poetry. The smiles, the tears, and the happy memories of the audience will be etched in my heart for a long time. I’m very excited for the upcoming tour!
I love the high energy at live events and can’t wait to interact with audiences from all across the country.” Following the enthusiastic reception in Mumbai, Dr. Kumar Vishwas’s Kavi Sammelan will now embark on a tour across various cities in India over the next few months, continuing to honor poetry as a vibrant art form that resonates with every generation.
