New Delhi, April 24 (). Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has told the National Security Agency (NIA) that he has no connection with the April 15 murder of Atiq and Ashraf Ahmed in Prayagraj.
Earlier, one of the three accused arrested in the murder of gangster-turned-politician brother Atiq and Ashraf had described Bishnoi as his role model.
NIA sources said the agency had questioned Bishnoi about the weapons recovered from the three accused in the murder case.
The killers used a Turkish-made Jigna pistol to kill Atiq and Ashraf, he said. This is the same weapon with which Punjabi singer Sidhu Singh Musewala was murdered. So we questioned him (Bishnoi). Till now he is denying his hand behind the Atiq-Ashraf murder case.
Sources said that gangster Sundar Bhati also has links with Bishnoi. The agency is also probing this aspect.
The NIA had registered three separate FIRs (FIR No. 37, 38 and 39) last year.
FIR No. 37 mentions Khalistani supporters based abroad who are plotting war against India to create unrest in the country.
FIR No. 38 was registered against Bambaiya Gang in which Neeraj Bawana, Kaushal Chowdhary and others were named as accused.
FIR No. 39 named Bishnoi, Kala Jathedi, Kala Rana and their accomplices.
Bishnoi was produced before an NIA court last week in connection with FIR 37.
In this case, NIA has arrested an accused named Deepak who was in contact with Bishnoi.
According to NIA sources, the gangsters have formed two grand alliances to run their crime empire by building a network across the country.
Neeraj Bawana is in Group A of the Grand Alliance. Sources said, Neeraj Bawana’s Grand Alliance includes Saurabh alias Gaurav, Suvegh Singh alias Sibbu, Shubham Balyan, Rakesh alias Raka, Irfan alias Chhune, Ravi Gangwal and Rohit Chowdhary and Davinder Bambiha gang.
Grand alliance of Group B ie Bishnoi includes Sandeep alias Kala Jaindi, Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, Rohit Moi, Deepak Boxer, Prince Tewatia, Rajesh Bawania and Ashok Pradhan.
Sources said that these gangsters are active in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, but are afraid of Uttar Pradesh police and do not want to commit any kind of crime there.
