Legislative experience of AT Ramaswamy will strengthen BJP in Karnataka: JP Nadda

New Delhi, April 1 (). Welcoming senior JDS MLA from Karnataka AT Ramaswamy into the party, BJP National President JP Nadda has said that his decision to join BJP is a reflection of widespread support for BJP’s ideology and vision. The BJP president further said that he is sure that Ramaswamy’s legislative experience will strengthen the party and help the BJP serve Karnataka more diligently.

After formally joining the party at the BJP national headquarters on Saturday, AT Ramaswamy met BJP national president JP Nadda at his residence. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam were also present during this meeting.

Prior to meeting Nadda, AT Ramaswamy formally joined the BJP at the BJP national headquarters in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, BJP National General Secretaries Dushyant Gautam and Nalin Kohli.

After joining the BJP, Ramaswamy thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders and said that he had come to the BJP unconditionally. Along with this, giving information about his campaign in Karnataka, he also claimed that he is a victim of money power in the state as he always talked about irregularities and corruption.

Speaking to the media after Ramaswamy was inducted into the BJP at the party headquarters, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that a Vokkalinga community leader like AT Ramaswamy, a four-time MLA, would strengthen the BJP in Karnataka and The party will be stronger.

Let us tell you that AT Ramaswamy is the JDS MLA from Arkalguda in Karnataka, although he tendered his resignation from the Legislative Assembly on Friday, a day before joining the BJP. He had submitted his resignation to the Vidhan Sabha Secretary on Friday as the Speaker was not in the city.

Polling for the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka is to be held on May 10 and its results will be out on May 13. This time BJP is claiming to form the government by getting full majority on its own. This is the reason why the BJP is looking very excited with the entry of a big leader of Vokkalinga community from JDS into the party.
