One of Indian cinema’s most awaited collaborations — the global action-adventure film by SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu — is preparing for a grand reveal. Although the film has been in production for several months at various international locations, the creators have kept an air of mystery, providing no official title, poster, or teaser to date. Reports indicate a spectacular launch event is scheduled in Hyderabad on November 15, expected to be one of the largest film events ever in India. The first look of the movie, currently referred to as #Globetrotter or SSMB29, will be showcased during this event, kicking off a global promotional campaign.
On November 1, Mahesh Babu ignited a playful conversation on social media by tagging director SS Rajamouli and stating, “It’s November already @ssrajamouli.” This tweet prompted a lively exchange involving Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, suggesting that both actors are part of the cast, with Prithviraj reportedly taking on the role of the antagonist. Industry rumors propose that Varanasi might be the film’s final title. Produced by veteran KL Narayana under Durga Arts, the film features music composed by MM Keeravani. With Rajamouli’s renowned scale and vision, it is poised to be a global cinematic event.
The film is set to premiere worldwide in 120 countries on March 25, 2027, marking one of the most extensive releases ever planned for an Indian film.
