Method:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast milk powder on low flame until brown.
  2. Add remaining ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  3. Then add the milk and stir continuously until well combined and leaves the sides.
  4. Switch off the gas and when the mixture is slightly cool, add sugar and mix well.
  5. Form pedas and coat in sugar.
  6. Decorate with chopped pistachios and rose petals (optional).

Note: These can also be shaped like Modaks.
