MEIL has secured a major project valued at $225.5 million in Kuwait, where it will construct and manage a gas sweetening facility and a sulfur recovery unit for the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). This project will be carried out on a build-own-operate basis, with construction expected to be completed within 790 days. After the construction phase, MEIL will oversee the plant’s operations for five years. The company is also involved in building sulfur recovery units at refineries in Rajasthan and Mongolia, showcasing its extensive expertise in this area. Additionally, MEIL is advancing infrastructure projects in various sectors, including drinking water, hydrocarbons, and power worldwide.
This new venture in Kuwait is anticipated to strengthen MEIL’s footprint in the Middle East, as noted by Director Dorayya, who expressed pride in this essential infrastructure partnership.
