Addressing the public meeting, Shah said, Sonia Gandhi had called Modi a merchant of death. Rahul Gandhi calls him a lower caste man. But no matter how much you insult the Prime Minister, the lotus will bloom in Karnataka. More threats to Modi will only create a pro-BJP wave.

Shah’s remarks were preceded by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge comparing Prime Minister Modi to a poisonous snake, drawing a strong rebuke from the BJP. Kharge later retracted his remarks saying that his remark was not aimed at the Prime Minister but at his party.

Addressing the rally, Shah said former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa presented a special budget for the agriculture sector and worked for their welfare. The Home Minister said, he (Yeddyurappa) brought happiness in the lives of the farmers of North Karnataka.

Shah said, people should decide for the comprehensive development of the state. If BJP comes to power, there will be development. But if Congress comes to power, the state will suffer in terms of development. The Home Minister also said that the Congress has always cheated the farmers.

Shah said, farmers were shot during the Congress rule. The future of the state depends on the upcoming elections. Congress led by Rahul baba will give reverse gear government. Do you want reverse gear govt?
