The dynamic duo behind last year’s unexpected hit, Committee Kurrollu, is set for an exciting reunion. Industry insiders indicate that director Yadu Vamsi and producer Niharika Konidela are joining forces once more for a new project under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner. Sources confirm that the film is currently in the discussion phase and is anticipated to commence production in 2026. Committee Kurrollu gained significant attention in 2024 as a low-budget film that exceeded all box office expectations. Produced at a modest cost of ₹9 crore, it grossed ₹18.5 crore in theaters and garnered an additional ₹6 crore from non-theatrical deals, culminating in an impressive total of ₹24.5 crore.
The film distinguished itself by introducing 11 new male leads alongside 4 heroines, making it a unique experimental success in Telugu cinema. It also performed well in award circuits. At the SIIMA 2025, Niharika Konidela was awarded Best Debut Producer, while Sandeep Saroj won Best Debut Actor. Additionally, the film received accolades at the Telangana Government’s Gaddar Awards, taking home Best Feature Film for National Integration and Social Upliftment. Yadu Vamsi was recognized as Best Debut Director, marking a significant milestone in his career. Meanwhile, Pink Elephant Pictures is actively engaged in Production No. 2, directed by Manasa Sharma and featuring Sangeet Shobhan and Nayan Sarika.
This upcoming fantasy-comedy film is crafted by Manasa Sharma and Mahesh Uppala, with music by Anudeep Dev and Manyam Ramesh serving as executive producer. With the success of Committee Kurrollu still resonating, anticipation is high for the new collaboration between Yadu Vamsi and Niharika. Fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement soon.
