Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted an unannounced inspection at Gandhi Maidan on Tuesday to assess the preparations for the state government’s swearing-in ceremony set for 20 November. The surprise visit prompted officials to provide immediate updates on security, logistics, and protocol. During his review, the Chief Minister looked into the seating arrangements for dignitaries, plans for VIP movement, temporary facilities, and crowd management strategies. He requested detailed information on the essential services being prepared for the event. Officials informed the CM about the arrangements for special guests, invited leaders, senior bureaucrats, and the large groups expected to attend the ceremony.
They also briefed him on security measures, police deployment, and the organization of public entry and emergency response units. Senior ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Minister Kumari Nandini, and Minister Satish Rajak, were present. High-ranking bureaucrats such as Chief Secretary Nivedita Singh and other principal secretaries accompanied the CM. Police officials, including IG Patna Range and Senior SP Patna, reviewed specific plans with the Chief Minister, assuring him that all security layers would be in place well before the ceremony begins.
