OnePlus is anticipated to unveil the new OnePlus 15 flagship in China on October 27. Alongside this, the company is expected to introduce the Ace 6, following its pattern of launching another model with the smartphone. The Ace 6 is also rumored to be released as the OnePlus 15R in global markets, including India. According to leaks, the OnePlus 15R may feature a 6.83-inch 1.5 K Pro XDR LTPS AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It is likely to support Dolby Vision and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The display is suggested to provide a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a manual peak brightness of 800 nits.
In terms of battery and charging, the device is said to include a 7,800mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. If the leaks are accurate, OnePlus appears to be prioritizing battery performance for the R-series smartphone but might forgo wireless charging to maintain the device’s performance and pricing. Regarding the camera setup, the OnePlus 15R is rumored to have a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. However, details about the front camera remain undisclosed. The company previously included a triple-lens setup with ultra-wide and telephoto cameras in last year’s OnePlus 13R.
For performance and storage, OnePlus has confirmed that the Ace 6 will feature the Snapdragon Elite SoC, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for enhanced performance and seamless multitasking. The leaks also indicate that the device may offer 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.
