Chandigarh, May 20 (). Overweight policemen in Haryana will be sent to police lines.

State Home Minister Anil Vij said that it has been observed that many policemen have become overweight. He has said in the order issued this week that overweight policemen should be kept in the police line till they are fit.

Keeping in view the fitness of the officers and personnel of Haryana Police, Home Minister Anil Vij has issued a written instruction to the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department. An official statement from the Home Department said that many police personnel in the police department have become overweight and are continuously increasing, so they should be sent to the police line.

Vij wrote to the Additional Chief Secretary that I want all the police officers and personnel, who have become overweight, to be shifted to the police line and made to exercise till they are fit for duty.
