According to the villagers, a few days ago a buffalo of a dairy farmer was bitten by a dog but he had not got anti-rabies vaccine.

The farmer kept supplying buffalo milk to the villagers. Meanwhile, a calf dependent on the milk of the buffalo’s mother died.

This created a stir among the villagers. They reached the Gram Panchayat office.

The village authorities organized a special camp and asked all the villagers to get vaccinated.

The menace of stray dogs is already there in many parts of the state. Four children have lost their lives in three months.

An eight-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs in Warangal district on Friday. This was the second incident in Warangal district.

Last month, a child who was injured in an attack by stray dogs had died.

On February 19, a four-year-old boy was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Hyderabad.

A five-year-old child had died of rabies in Khammam district in March. He was bitten by stray dogs and later developed symptoms of rabies.
