The fourth season of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL) is set to commence on October 2, featuring the Hyderabad Black Hawks facing the reigning champions, Calicut. The season will conclude with the final match on October 26, as the organizers announced the schedule on Tuesday. This edition includes ten teams, with the addition of the Goa Guardians, making it the largest season to date. The teams are split into two pools of five: Pool A includes the Goa Guardians, Chennai Blitz, Kochi Blue Spikers, Bengaluru Torpedoes, and Kolkata Thunderbolts, while Pool B features the Hyderabad Black Hawks, Delhi Toofans, Ahmedabad Defenders, Mumbai Meteors, and Calicut Heroes.
A total of 38 matches will take place; 35 in the league phase, where each team will compete against four others in their pool and three from the opposing pool. The top four teams, regardless of pool, will advance to the semi-finals. Following over 21 matchdays, filled with consecutive games and double headers, the league will progress to the semi-finals on October 24, culminating in the title match on October 26. With double-headers, intense rivalries, and a compact playoff schedule, fans can anticipate thrilling action every night.
