Patna: New turmoil has arisen within Lalu Prasad’s family following the viral spread of photos depicting Sanjay Yadav and Rameez enjoying extravagant holidays abroad. These images, showcasing their presence in luxurious hotels, on private yachts, and at high-end pubs overseas, have ignited intense discussions on social media regarding the origins of their apparent affluence. This controversy comes on the heels of a significant defeat for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the Bihar assembly elections, which has seemingly intensified family tensions. On Sunday, Rohini Acharya, Lalu Prasad’s daughter, announced her departure from both the party and the family.
In a strongly worded statement, she accused Sanjay Yadav and Rameez of fostering discord, interfering in political matters, and misleading her brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. She further claimed to have faced intimidation, including threats involving slippers during internal conflicts. Acharya alleged that there are individuals within the party actively working to destabilize the family and undermine its political position. Her statements have fueled the discourse surrounding the viral photos, which reportedly depict trips costing “millions and crores,” according to online users. Party insiders claim that Yadav and Rameez frequently utilize private jets, vacation on exclusive beaches, and reside in seven-star accommodations. Some reports indicate instances where they have rented private yachts and traveled internationally with personal staff.
