New Delhi, May 7 (). In a case of alleged love jihad in the national capital, a Sikh woman has accused her Muslim friend of raping her, recording her pornographic videos and forcing her to convert.
The victim alleges that when she refused to convert, accused Azmat Ali Khan threatened to throw acid on her face and kill her.
The police have registered an FIR under various sections of the IPC including rape.
The FIR, which was accessed by , said that in 2016, the victim met Ajmat Ali Khan, a resident of Laxmi Nagar, on Facebook and they became friends. The victim says that Khan was a mutual friend of her dance teacher.
Later their friendship deepened and by 2017 they entered into a relationship. The woman has alleged that when we had physical relations, he recorded the video of it.
Khan forced me to convert to Islam, but I refused, he said. I told him that I am a Sikh girl and want to remain a Sikh even after marriage. But Khan told me that I would have to convert to Islam, wear a burqa, pray five times a day and observe fasting. I refused to change my religion and told him that he cannot force me to convert to Islam in the name of love and decided to end the relationship.
After this, the victim started distancing herself from Khan. She never met Khan after 2018. But the accused kept messaging her. In 2019, Khan had threatened the victim.
The victim has alleged, he threatened me that if I ignore him, he will make all my videos viral on social media. He threatened to ruin my entire career. He kept abusing me.
She alleged that on April 2, Khan assaulted her at the Janakpuri police station.
He threatened to throw acid on my face, alleged the victim. Also he said that if I tried to ignore him, he would bury me alive.
After receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case under rape and other sections at Dabri police station.
A senior police officer said that they are probing the matter. So far no one has been arrested in this case and the accused has applied for anticipatory bail.
