Patna, April 8 (). A woman and a youth were found hanging from a tree in Bihar’s Banka district on Saturday, said police.
The deceased have been identified as Raghu Das (25) and his sister-in-law Savita Devi (30). It is revealed that Raghu and Savita had an illicit relationship. Both took this step after Raghu’s marriage was fixed with someone else.
As the family members knew about their illicit relationship, they fixed Raghu’s marriage. Tilak ceremony was organized in Bargunia village on Saturday. Later, both Raghu and Savita went to an isolated place and hanged themselves from a tree.
The villagers informed the police after seeing the dead body. The bodies have been sent for postmortem to Banka Sadar Hospital.
