New Delhi, March 27 (). A Class 12 student was injured after a speeding car rammed into his cab in south Delhi’s CR Park area on Monday.
While the cab driver escaped unhurt, a 17-year-old student from Kalkaji suffered minor injuries during the accident and was admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to the police, a police control room call was received regarding an accident near NRI Complex Main Road.
A police team reached the spot, where a Baleno car and a Swift Dzire cab were found. The caller, who is a cab driver and has been identified as Gaurav, a resident of Tughlakabad Extension, told the police that the Baleno car was being driven by the driver. The vehicle was at a very high speed, which hit his vehicle from behind, said a senior police officer.
He was alone in the cab and had a narrow escape.
However, the driver of the Baleno car sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital by a passerby, the officer said.
Initial inquiries revealed that three more boys were present in the car at the time of the accident, but fled from the spot after the incident.
The official said that further investigation is on.
