Suji Dry Fruit Laddu (Semolina Dry Fruit Laddoos)

Preparation:

Ingredients:

Laung Powder (clove powder) – 1 teaspoon (optional)

Method:

  1. Roast the suji: Heat a pan or tava and add the suji. Roast on medium heat until it becomes light golden brown and fragrant. Avoid burning. Set aside in a bowl.
  2. Roast the dry fruits: In the same pan, heat ghee and add chopped cashews, almonds, pistachios, and raisins. Roast until they become light golden brown and crispy.
  3. Make jaggery syrup: In a small pan, heat water and add grated jaggery. Boil until the jaggery dissolves completely to form a thick syrup.
  4. Combine ingredients: Add roasted suji, roasted dry fruits, and ghee to the pan. Mix well and then add the jaggery syrup. Cook continuously, stirring until the mixture becomes thick and consistent.
  5. Add cardamom and clove powder: Add cardamom and clove powder (if using) and mix well.
  6. Make the laddoos: Let the mixture cool slightly. Moisten your hands with ghee and shape the mixture into small laddoos.
  7. Set the laddoos: Let the laddoos cool completely to set.
  8. Serve: Store the cooled laddoos in an airtight container. These can be served as a snack or dessert.

You can also use sugar instead of jaggery in this recipe.
