Veteran director Suresh Krishna, celebrated for his iconic films such as Basha, is making a comeback with a new spiritual yet commercially appealing drama titled Anantha, featuring Jagapathi Babu and Suhasini in the leading roles. Produced by Girish Krishnamurthy under the Inner View banner, the film’s audio and teaser were unveiled at an elaborate event. During the launch, Suresh Krishna shared the inspiration behind the project, citing a divine experience. He mentioned that his vision for the film stemmed from a dream involving Sathya Sai Baba, who epitomized love as the ultimate faith. “This is not your average devotional film—it incorporates significant commercial aspects similar to Basha.
‘Anantha’ will transform divine cinema,” he asserted, commending the outstanding performances of Jagapathi Babu and Suhasini, as well as composer Deva for his moving score. Numerous industry personalities, including Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Sai Madhav Burra, Veera Shankar, Rakendu Mouli, Ramajogayya Sastry, Shri Rajini, and Chota K Naidu, attended the event, sharing their admiration for Krishna’s vision. Burra noted, “Indian cinema is divided into the era before Basha and after Basha. Suresh Krishna’s Anantha embodies the same commitment and message of love.” Filmed in locations such as Kashi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Puttaparthi, Anantha seeks to convey Sai Baba’s enduring philosophy of love through mainstream cinema, merging spirituality with emotional depth and cinematic splendor.
