On November 8, 2025, The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences (TIT&S) in Bhiwani hosted a grand Convocation Ceremony attended by His Excellency Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh, the Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, as the Chief Guest. The event featured Prof. Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of M.D. University, Rohtak, as the Guest of Honour, and Prof. Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor of CBLU, Bhiwani, as a Special Invited Guest. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the singing of the National Anthem. Degrees were awarded to approximately 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students from various departments. The event also recognized five distinguished alumni for their significant contributions to the industry: Mr. I.M.J.S. Sidhu (Chairman, Vardhman Textiles, Baddi), Mr.
Anil Jain (Chairman, Jain Cords), Mr. Harish Saraf (Founder & CEO, Nippon Data Systems), and Mr. Subhash Bhargava (Managing Director, Colorant) received the ‘Distinguished Alumni Award’. Present were Mr. R. K. Dalmia, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Prof. B. K. Behera, Director of the Institute. In his address, Hon’ble Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh remarked that institutions like TIT&S are pivotal in shaping the future of technical and industrial education, emphasizing the need for students to engage in nation-building beyond just seeking employment. Guest of Honour Prof. Rajbir Singh commended TIT&S as a leading institution affiliated with M.D.
University, highlighting its role in bridging education, industry, and research and lauding its commitment to producing technically competent and ethically aware graduates. Mr. R. K. Dalmia stressed that TIT&S aims to develop young individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also socially responsible. He expressed confidence that graduates would significantly contribute to the industry and society. Prof. B. K. Behera noted the institute’s integration of education, research, and innovation, aiming for students to become experts and societal inspirations. During a media interaction, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh reiterated that institutions like TIT&S enhance Haryana’s industrial capacity and human resource potential, while Prof. Rajbir Singh hoped for continued collaboration and innovation. Mr.
Dalmia envisioned TIT&S as a model for industry and society, and Prof. Behera emphasized the preparation of ethically responsible engineers and managers. Distinguished alumni reflected on their experiences, with Mr. Sidhu attributing his career success to the foundational values learned at TIT&S, while Mr. Jain praised the institute for fostering critical thinking and leadership. Mr. Saraf expressed gratitude for the direction his education provided, and Mr. Bhargava acknowledged the importance of discipline and teamwork instilled by the institute. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
