New Delhi, May 15 (). Known for his expertise in tackling cyber crimes, the new director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Praveen Sood and Karnataka Congress chief D.K. Shivakumar did not have good relations.
Praveen Sood hit headlines when Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar accused him of favoring the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In March this year, Shivakumar had called Sood a worthless person and had reportedly threatened strict action against him if the Congress party came to power.
Shivakumar criticized Sood for his alleged affiliation with the BJP, questioning how long he would continue to serve as a party member instead of fulfilling his duties as a police officer.
According to Shivakumar, Sood has registered around 25 cases against Congress leaders while not registering a single case against BJP leaders.
