Bengaluru, March 29 (). Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that he has canceled all government programs after the announcement of the Karnataka assembly election date.
Last time, the announcement was made on March 27, he said. This time we expected it to be announced after March 27. Since the Model Code of Conduct will come into force after the announcement, I have canceled all my tours and events.
CM Bommai said that from now on he would actively participate in rallies, campaigns and party activities.
Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been called to inaugurate the three-day mega program on April 9 on the completion of 50 years of Project Tiger in Mysuru, Karnataka. When asked about this, CM Bommai told that PM Modi will attend the program in Mysore. The program was decided long ago and he will attend it.
CM Bommai also announced that there will be no public darshan program at his residence from Thursday. “We have to follow the rules and the model code of conduct will not allow us to go ahead with the programme,” he said.
On calling the BJP MLAs, the Chief Minister asked State Congress President D.K. Shivkumar was attacked and said, Shivkumar’s condition is so pathetic that he is calling and forcing our MLAs to join Congress. He is telling that he is waiting for the announcement of the names of BJP MLAs in the second list of 100 candidates. He is also contacting ministers and MLAs who have joined BJP, but no one will leave BJP.
