Gurugram, May 31 (). Police arrested a woman on Wednesday for allegedly registering a fake case of rape and assault against several men.
The police have now registered a case against the woman under section 182 of the IPC. According to the police, on November 29, 2022, a woman lodged a complaint.
The woman had stated in her complaint that a man forcibly had physical relations with her, she was manhandled by bouncers working at Sahara Mall and they also snatched her mobile phone. The woman had also alleged that the policemen posted at the PCR did not pay heed to her complaint.
Investigating all the allegations made by the woman, the police checked the CCTV cameras of the spot and the surrounding. Police investigation revealed that the woman escaped safely from the spot.
East DCP Nitish Agarwal said that the allegations made by the woman were found to be false and baseless even during the interrogation of the people present on the spot and the employees of Sahara Mall by the police. All the allegations made by the woman were investigated from every angle. None of the allegations were found to be true. After this the fake FIR was quashed.
He said that in this case a case has been registered by the woman for making false allegations and misleading the police.
