According to the police, the car carrying a group of students was going from Shankarpally towards Gandhipet. Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that the car was being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner.
While trying to overtake the RTC bus, the car driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and rammed the vehicle into a parked truck from behind.
The collision was so strong that the car was badly damaged. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and took out the injured and the dead bodies. Three youths died on the spot, while the fourth died in the hospital.
Two sisters Harshita-Ankita and their friends Nitin and Amrit were killed. The deceased and the injured were residents of Nizampet area of the city.
