Patna: A new division has surfaced within the Lalu Prasad family as Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s sister, Rohini Acharya, declared her decision to sever ties with him following the RJD’s loss in the Bihar Assembly elections. This choice comes amid assertions from some that the family’s discord may be connected to Shani Dosh, a belief related to Saturn’s influence. Astrologers have indicated that Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is presently experiencing the Mahadasha of Mercury and Antardasha of Rahu, alongside the concluding phase of Saturn’s Sade Sati. They argue that Saturn’s alignment is obstructing Rajyoga and potentially leading to both political and personal challenges.
Rohini Acharya, who had previously supported her brother in political endeavors, shared an emotional post on social media stating her intent to “leave politics and abandon [her] family,” alleging she felt compelled to take this action. “Sanjay Yadav and Rameez urged me to do this, and I am accepting all the blame,” she wrote. However, in interactions with the press, she clarified that there was no personal conflict with her parents or siblings, instead claiming internal pressure and exclusion. “Go and ask Sanjay, Ravish, and Tejashwi about this,” she stated. “I don’t have a family. They expelled me.
Anyone who mentions their names at home is ostracized, humiliated, or even beaten with slippers.” Her remarks have fueled speculation regarding escalating tensions within the RJD’s leadership. Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder brother, has faced political isolation for a significant period, and experts believe this recent incident marks an unusual public split in one of Bihar’s most prominent political families. Compounding the situation, Bhojpuri actor and former candidate Khesari Lal Yadav expressed sorrow over his electoral defeat and shared his discontent with Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership. “I risked my career,” he remarked. “This was the first time in my life I had to decide within an hour. I couldn’t refuse.
I felt helpless.” In a tearful video message, he conveyed that his decision to run had cost him “five years of income” but expressed gratitude to the people of Chhapra for their support. “I was your son before, I am your son now, and I will remain your son,” he stated, adding that he plans to return to music because “I cannot live without singing.” While Khesari did not overtly criticize Tejashwi, his tone implied dissatisfaction with the RJD leader’s management of the campaign.
