Noida: The Noida unit of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force has arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly impersonating an officer of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), as reported by officials on Wednesday. The suspect, Suneet Kumar, was detained on Tuesday evening, and a number of counterfeit identity documents, including a forged RAW officer ID with his photograph, were seized from him. Raj Kumar Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police (STF Noida), informed PTI that Kumar, who hails from Ajoi village in Vaishali district of Bihar, was residing in the Surajpur police station area of Greater Noida. “A fake RAW officer ID featuring his photograph was found in his possession.
In addition, we recovered voter ID cards, PAN cards, and various other documents under different names but bearing his photo,” Mishra stated. The STF reported that the confiscated items comprise two fake IDs, 20 cheque books from various banks, eight debit and credit cards, five PAN cards, 17 agreements in different names, two Aadhaar cards, three voter ID cards, and numerous other documents. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, the officer added.
