Mumbai: Festivals are cherished by many, and actor Sidharrth Sipani feels the same way about Dussehra. Despite his busy filming schedule, he strives to embody the festive spirit wherever he is. “This year, I will likely be on set, but for me, festivals are about the spirit, so even while working, I ensure to celebrate with those around me. We organize a small puja or come together as a team, which feels like an extended family,” he explains. Taking a day off for festivals is often not feasible in the entertainment industry, but Sidharrth enjoys celebrating on set. “If I can take a day off, that’s ideal—I love being with family.
However, most of the time we celebrate on set, which is enjoyable as the entire crew is in a festive mood, bringing positive energy to the shoot.” He emphasizes the importance of offering prayers, saying, “I always make time for a small prayer to Lord Ram and Maa Durga. Even while traveling or working, I find moments to connect spiritually—it brings me peace and strength.” This year, Sidharrth intends to celebrate with his co-stars and crew. “We have continuous shoots, so it seems I will celebrate with my unit. However, I will definitely video call my family to include them in the home celebrations too.” He holds the tradition of watching Ravan Dahan close to his heart.
“I truly enjoy Ravan Dahan. Seeing the effigy burn is symbolic—it reminds me that regardless of how overwhelming negativity may seem, good always triumphs.” Reflecting on past celebrations, he recalls a time when he was shooting outside Mumbai and couldn’t do much. “The entire team went out for a festive dinner after wrap-up. It was simple but memorable because everyone was away from family and came together as one.” No festival is complete for him without food. “For me, it must be homemade sweets—especially kheer and jalebi.
No matter how often I eat them, the festive feeling is amplified when they are made at home.” For Sidharrth Sipani, Dussehra signifies more than just a festival; it serves as a reminder to embrace positivity, value togetherness, and celebrate the victory of good over evil—whether with family at home or with his on-set family.
